Where does the time go???? It was July only a week ago surely?
So VERY happily settled in our new home.
Work going well as now teaching piano, drums and guitar in NINE schools and colleges over 3 days for Create Music.
I have also been teaching at East Sussex College by Hastings Station but just handed in my notice there as it had to give way to the main teaching. A pity as I enjoyed teaching adults on the 2 courses I devised of “Music for Wellbeing” and “The Future Is Yours” but happy to have just the one job with much variety within it.
Hastings has an amazing music scene but challenging to break in to. I’ve now done some gigs on accordion and percussion with the brilliant Gabriel Moreno and also local rock legend and all-round top chap Ben Maier. Also some jazz piano sessions here and there.
Ideally I’d love to do drums and/or keys in a band setting and there possibly something positive brewing there but biding my time and with the forever home and now one job established maybe early 2025 will be when this falls in to place.
Tonight I’m off to see The Unthanks at White Rock, having been there last night to see Sam Ryder who was brilliant as were his 2 support artists.
