Monday 5th October 2026

59 yesterday. 1 year to 60….oooof! Did a great birthday gig with Sunsetters at Barnaby’s Lounge.

So that’s 12 months to really sort some stuff out including (and arguably mainly) doing less.

This Saturday 10th October is my second Hastings Eco Conference and looking like even better than last year’s which a resounding success. The Mayor is opening it.

This off the back of my Hastings Heritage Open Days Festival of 2 weeks in September which saw 23 venues take part running many events and visitors from as far afield as Normandy! The Mayor opened it.

Then I’ve organised a Halloween Voodoo Velo with the Mayor (she’s really helping!).

However, I need to do less…so I’m handing over much of this stuff.

I’ll continue with most of my music…I’m still playing drums (and accordion) for The Longshore Drifters (LSD) and of course Keyboards as a member of trio SunSetters.

I’ve a couple of solo music projects too, one using the new Erae 2 in my DJ/Music set up, the other wth a singer looking at incorporating local stories in performances of music.

Here’s LSD’s album launch at The Piper c/o photographer Dean Mackintosh – https://www.facebook.com/dean.mackintosh.376/posts/pfbid02TczAgDYT4wrySQ2hzWaSoXmuC2X6ZdPq68VGKrZwTk3f8HThxfs1nCuW5EE1YeZJl

Next gig at The Lord Nelson on Bonfire Night Oct 17th….

Then calming all down as much as possible for the sake of my mental and overall health as just not sustainable. Less done better. More walking, culture, quietness, reading, creating solo and some gentle collaborations.

Getting the house finished – a huge task that dented me.

Health a priority.

See whoever on the 17th,

Take care all.
